OLED monitor market nearly doubles as Asus keeps top spot with 23.1% share

Global shipments of OLED monitors surged 98% year over year in the second quarter of 2026, adding a 26.1% sequential gain, according to a new report from market research firm TrendForce.
The sharp growth was driven by the launch of new models, strong demand fueled by China's 618 shopping festival, and the continued adoption of 27-inch QHD monitors, which remain the dominant product segment. The rapid expansion underscores how quickly OLED technology is being embraced in gaming and premium display categories.
The ranking of the top five OLED monitor brands stayed unchanged from the previous quarter. Asus retained its leadership position with a 23.1% market share, supported by robust demand from Chinese internet cafes and strong sales during the 618 promotions.
Samsung, which has been gradually withdrawing from the Chinese market, saw its share decline significantly. Still, the company held onto second place with 13.1%. MSI came close behind with 12.8%, helped by successful promotional campaigns tied to the 618 festival.
AOC took fourth place with an 8.6% share, benefiting from an aggressive rollout of new models, particularly in the 27-inch QHD segment, as well as steady demand in China. LGE rounded out the top five with 8.4%, boosted by growing sales of its premium 39-inch WUHD monitor.
TrendForce noted that improved panel supply has enabled newer brands to increase shipments and narrow the gap with market leaders, signaling intensifying competition across the OLED monitor space.
