iQOO X concept packs 15,000 mAh battery and a chip that won't exist for years

iQOO has unveiled a concept smartphone called iQOO X, and its specs leapfrog the current industry by several generations. The device is built around a Blue Ice solid-state battery with a capacity of 15,000 mAh, which the company says should deliver around a week of use on a single charge. Thanks to a solid electrolyte instead of a liquid one, the battery achieves high energy density without turning the phone into a brick.

The heart of the concept is a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 10 Pro chipset. To put that in perspective: as of August 2026, the most recent Qualcomm platform is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. In other words, iQOO is aiming at silicon that won't exist for roughly four more years. The main processor is paired with a proprietary QX gaming chip.

The display is no less ambitious: a 7-inch LTPO 6.0 panel with resolution above 2K and a 240 Hz refresh rate. The touch sampling rate is rated at 4,800 Hz — a figure previously seen only in high-end gaming monitors. Other notable features include an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner that covers half of the screen area and dynamic refresh technology that adjusts the panel's behavior on the fly.

Most of the components listed in the concept have no mass production equivalent yet, so iQOO has not disclosed a release timeline or pricing for the X. The device remains a showcase of what the company believes smartphones will look like in the coming years.
