Epomaker GX1 headset costs $50, runs 70 hours without RGB and packs virtual 7.1 audio

Epomaker, a maker best known for its mechanical keyboards, has unveiled its first gaming headset, the GX1. Priced at $49.99, the new device broadens the company's peripheral lineup beyond input gear into PC gaming audio.

The open-back headset relies on 50mm dynamic drivers and delivers virtual 7.1 surround sound. Its design includes a seven-level adjustable headband, and the unit weighs around 320 grams. Customizable RGB lighting sits on the earcups.

For voice communication, the GX1 pairs a built-in microphone with a detachable external boom mic that uses environmental noise canceling to keep transmissions clear.

Connectivity options span Bluetooth, wired USB-C or USB-A, and a dedicated 2.4GHz wireless dongle with a 25-millisecond latency. The built-in 2000mAh battery lasts up to 30 hours with RGB enabled and extends to 70 hours with lighting off. A charge-and-play feature lets users top up the battery mid-session.

The GX1 is available now through Epomaker's official site, Amazon, and AliExpress in three colors: Black Grey, Pink, and White.
