Asus unveils VM240 AiO compact desktop for $700 — Ryzen 5, AI noise cancellation, and a privacy shutter

Asus has introduced the VM240 AiO, a compact all-in-one desktop designed for home, education, and office use. The system is built around a 24-inch display with tilt adjustment and a slim 22-mm stand, which helps minimize desk space occupation.

At its maximum configuration, the VM240 AiO is powered by an AMD Ryzen 5 processor and features a PCIe Gen 4 solid-state drive with up to 512 GB of storage. For video calls, the device includes a 1080p webcam equipped with a physical privacy shutter, allowing users to physically block the lens when not in use. The audio setup consists of two front-facing 2-watt speakers with Dirac Audio support.

A standout feature of the new model is its AI-based noise cancellation system, which reduces background noise during online calls, improving voice clarity for remote work and virtual meetings.

Asus has priced the VM240 AiO at 66,990 Indian rupees, which is roughly $700. The version with the Ryzen 5 processor is expected to hit the market around mid-September. The company positions the device as a space-saving alternative to traditional desktop PCs, combining essential computing power, a built-in display, and modern communication features in a single, streamlined package.
